Bio
Welcome to Sugarbush School! I am one of four teachers in Anchor Bay Schools teaching the Early Childhood Developmentally Delayed program. I have been in this position for many years and am the most senior of the four teachers.
My path leading to this classroom began at Wayne State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in special education for the multiply impaired and early childhood. Two years later I began work on post-graduate work at University of Detroit, receiving a Masters Degree in Educational Practice with a focus in curriculum development.
As a professional I am an active member of the Anchor Bay Education Association as a member of the Executive Board. I am also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, a teacher's honorary organization; currently holding the office of Chaplain in our local chapter and am on the State Executive Board as the Scholarship Chair.
In my spare time away from school I spend a fair amount of time traveling the globe. Since 1996 I have been to Italy, Switzerland, the British Isles, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Spain, the Netherlands, Morocco and Paris. I feel very fortunate to be able to travel the world and try to share these experiences with everyone I meet.
Other than traveling I enjoy reading books, playing cards, long bicycle trips and kayaking in the Detroit River.
