The Anchor Bay School district takes great pride in a curriculum that is both current and meets the state and national standards.

2024 - 2025 Pre-School Registration - link below
- Your child must be 3 by 9/1/24 for 3-yr-old traditional preschool
- Your child must be 4 by 9/1/24 for 4-yr-old traditional preschool
- ALL CLASSES ARE CURRENY FULL
When you register you will be put into a "wait room". You will receive an email telling you the registration is pending. You are not accepted into a program until you receive a confirmation email stating your registration is confirmed and a payment receipt. Please note your account must be up to date in order to register for next year.

We will also need: Original birth certificate (we will make a copy), Driver's license (we can make a copy), 2 proofs of residency (any mail will work - you do not need to live in-district), and immunization records. Please turn in all paperwork by July 1. Health appraisal is th4e only form not due by 7/1. You have 30 days after the start of school to turn that in.
Anchor Bay Offers Free Preschool Program 
Anchor Bay offers a free preschool option for children who:
- Will be 4 years old on or before September 1, or if spots are still available by Dec. 1
- Live in the Anchor Bay District, Macomb County, or St. Clair County
- Meet “At Risk Eligibility Factors” as determined by the Michigan Department of Education
- Full Day Classes are held Monday - Friday
- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided.
- Bus Transportation is available to Anchor Bay Families.
- Anchor Bay Preschool Core Curriculum aligns with Kindergarten standard.
- Limited Before & After Care is available

Registration for 2024/2025 SACC will open at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31!

- Anchor Bay School District will begin the 2025-2026 school year before Labor Day, with the first day of school on August 27, 2025. We understand this is a significant change for some families, so we encourage everyone to mark their calendars and plan summer vacations accordingly. 2025-26 Calendar

Traditional Full-Day Kindergarten
- Children must be 5 years old by September 1st of the school year in which they plan on attending Kindergarten.
- Curriculum is based on the Michigan Standards for Kindergarten.
Young Fives
- Young Fives is a full day program designed for children turning 5 years old between June 1st and December 1st.
- Gives children an extra year before attending Kindergarten.
- The Young Fives curriculum is based on the Michigan Standards for Kindergarten modified to meet the foundational academic, social/ emotional, and developmental needs for younger children.
- Schools of Choice is available for both programs.
Kindergarten parents are encouraged to join us for a Kindergarten Readiness Night. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and go through our annual Kindergarten Readiness presentations.
The window for Kindergarten registration and and Schools of Choice starts February 13th. Visit the Enrollment/SOC page for more information.
Enrollment for the 2025-26 School Year including Kindergarten Registration and Schools of Choice will begin on February 13th!
Starting February 13th, parents can use the online registration link to pre-register students for next school year. It is important for parents to wait until this date. The enrollment link is currently open to ONLY students registering for this current semester. Thank you for patience and understanding.
