Young 5's and Kindergarten Orientation September 3rd, 2024
**Young Fives and Kindergarten students with last names beginning with:
· A-M should arrive at 9:30 a.m. and meet in your child’s classroom
· N-Z should arrive at 10:45 a.m. and meet in your child’s classroom
Young 5's and Kindergarten students will not be staying the whole day
Young Fives and Kindergarten students begin full days of school starting on Wednesday, September 4th. Our school day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:51 p.m.
Arrival and Dismissal:
For parent pick up and drop off, we ask that parents remain in cars and follow the “loop” to drop students off or pick them up directly in front of Door #10.
As an alternative, parents can park in a designated parking spot and walk their child up to the door or pick them up from Door #10.
Important visitor policy: We are not allowing parents to walk through the building.
If you have supplies or items to drop off, please label them clearly with your child’s name and teacher name and put them on the table in the vestibule inside Door #1.Then, ring the doorbell to let the office staff know you have dropped something off.

Thanks to the Michigan Healthy School Meals Program, Anchor Bay is excited to offer 1 FREE breakfast and 1 FREE lunch each school day to all students during the 2024 2025 School Year! All smart snacks and extra entrees will remain at cost.
Although meals are free this school year, it is important for families to still fill out the Meal Application! This information is still used for important state funding that helps support educational programs within our schools and also helps qualify students for Summer EBT benefits. To apply for free/reduced meals for the 2024 2025 school year, please visit our online site at anchorbay.familyportal.cloud and click on the ‘benefits’tab . Please follow the instructions as some Anchor Bay Schools require a different application form this year.
Time to Update Annual Forms
We are asking parents to verify/update their student information through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. The Annual Update forms will be available for returning students from August 1st through September 15th. These forms are located in the Parent Portal under Forms in the left navigation window, and then under the General Forms tab. The forms included in the update are:
- Health Information
- Student Address
- Student Contacts & Custody
- Permissions/Agreements
- Transportation Request Form

To pay using Pay-for-it:
- Log on to https://www.payforit.net/
- Register for an account (You can get step by step instructions here: https://www.payforit.net/Images/SigningUp.pdf)
- Add students to your account. You will need their Power Schools ID (you can get this from your school office.
- Click on the Fees Tab to pay your students assigned or optional fees.
To Make a payment on Pay-for-It:
- Log in and got to the "Fees" tab
- Click on "Make Fee Payment"
- Under Optional Fees - Click on the green "+".
